ESCAMBIA COUNTY — A 31-year-old Pace man suffered no injuries during a car accident Saturday night.
The accident occurred around 8:40 p.m. on U.S. 29 and Hope Drive in Escambia County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 22-year-old Tristan Horne of Pensacola was traveling southbound on U.S. 29 in the merge lane in a 2013 Dodge Ram when she attempted to merge into the outside lane and collided with a 2011 Lexus driven by 28-year-old Sharessa Edwards. Kody Williams, 31, of Pace, was a passenger in the Lexus.
The Dodge continued in a southerly direction and began rotating in a counter-clockwise direction. The Lexus continued in a southerly direction rotating in a clockwise direction. The Dodge then overturned, flipping twice and came to final rest approximately 150 feet south of the area of collision, facing east. The Lexus crossed the inside lane and collided with a concrete divider before coming to a final rest, facing east.
Horne was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital with minor injuries. She was charged with failing to drive in a single lane.
Edwards and Williams had no injuries.
