MILTON — Police are asking for help to find a woman and young child who went missing Sunday.

Michaela Aldridge, 22, left her home in the Ferris Hill area of Milton about 7:45 a.m. to go for a walk with her 3-year-old daughter, Katelyna Leland, according to the Milton Police Department. Aldridge took her cellphone with her but had no other possessions.

Police Chief Anthony Tindell said Aldridge's family received a text from her about 1:15 p.m. Sunday saying she was staying with a friend, but has not made any other contact since then.

Anyone who has had contact with Aldridge and her young child are asked to call the Milton Police Department at 850-983-5423.
