POEM IN YOUR POCKET DAY: April 17 at the Pace Library, 4750 Pace Patriot Blvd. The library will provide poem examples, books to review, colorful library card pockets, paper and pencils for writing poems.
JAY LIBRARY GAME NIGHT: 3-6 p.m. April 18 at the Jay Library, 5259 Booker Lane. Open to all ages, and game groups are welcome. Bring games from home, or play those provided by the library.

THIRD FRIDAYS WITH UF-IFAS EXTENSION: 10 a.m. every third Friday starting April 21 at the Gulf Breeze Library, 1060 Shoreline Drive. The University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences will present a monthly series on a variety of topics. The April topic is “Insect Pests of Turf.” They will provide information of agriculture, environment, sustainable living, disaster prevention and recovery, 4-H youth development and lawn and garden problems.
SPRING BUTTERFLIES: 10 a.m. April 22 at the Pace Library, 4750 Pace Patriot Blvd. The Azalea Garden Club of Pace will present this program for kindergartners through eighth-graders to learn the basics about butterflies and will grow a small milkweed plant. NATIONAL LIMA BEAN DAY: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 22 at the Navarre Library, 8484 James M. Harvell Road. Open to children ages 8 and up. The Navarre Library will provide all supplies to grow a lima bean. Sign-up is required; drop by or call the library, 981-7323, to sign up.
MEET THE POET: 3-5 p.m. April 24 at the Pace Library, 4750 Pace Patriot Blvd. Local poet Marc Livanos will give poetry readings, discuss sources of inspiration, and have poetry prompts. Call the library, 981-7323, for details.

Storytime programs are open to preschool children ages 3-5 and include stories, finger plays and action rhymes. Caregivers must remain in the library during storytime; however, they cannot accompany children into the programs. To minimize distractions, latecomers will not be admitted.
