MILTON — These library events are scheduled throughout Santa Rosa County. 

 

TODDLER TIME: Six Wednesdays, beginning 11 a.m. March 22, at the Navarre and Pace libraries. For children 18 to 36 months of age who attend with a caregiver. Toddler Time requires registration at the Navarre Library or Pace Library. Space is limited. Details: Margaret Chatraw, 981-4066.

SPRING BREAK MOVIES: 2 p.m. March 24, Milton Library, 5541 Alabama St. The Milton Library will host a movie during spring break. On March 24, join a strange doctor as he learns the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions (rated PG-13). The Friends of the Milton Library will provide refreshments.

CRAFTY MONDAYS: 2 p.m. March 27, Navarre Library, 8484 James M. Harvell Road. Recommended for children age 12 to adult. Space is limited, so sign up at the desk to reserve your spot. The Friends of the Navarre Library will provide all supplies.

Storytime programs are open to preschool children ages 3-5 and include stories, finger plays and action rhymes. Caregivers must remain in the library during storytime; however, they cannot accompany children into the programs. To minimize distractions, latecomers will not be admitted.

COFFEE TALK BOOK CLUB: 6:30 p.m. second Wednesdays at the Gulf Breeze Library, 1060 Shoreline Drive. In honor of Women's History Month, members should read a non-fiction book about any woman and be prepared to discuss their selection. Call the library, 981-7323, to sign up.

FRIENDS OF THE GULF BREEZE LIBRARY BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING: 5:30 p.m. second Tuesdays at the Gulf Breeze Library, 1060 Shoreline Drive.

ANIMANGA CLUB: 4 p.m. third Tuesdays of each month, Gulf Breeze Library, 1060 Shoreline Drive. Bring your art; discuss techniques of drawing, cartooning, anime and manga art, as well as your favorite titles and artists in those genres. Open to sixth- through eighth-graders.

GRAPHIC NOVEL BOOK CLUB: 5 p.m. third Tuesdays at the Milton Library, 5541 Alabama St. Members can suggest reading ideas, interests and discuss the world of the graphic novel. Speak with a staff member to sign up.

BIBLIOBABBLERS TEEN BOOK CLUB: 6 p.m. on the last Tuesday of every other month in the Gulf Breeze Library’s meeting room, 1060 Shoreline Drive. Ninth- through 12th-graders who are 14 to 18 years old can discuss the read-of-the-month with friends.

FICTION FANATICS BOOK CLUB: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., fourth Saturdays except in May and November, at the Navarre Library, 8484 James M. Harvell Road. The March selection is "Nine Women, One Dress" by Jane Rosen. Sign-up is required, so drop by to sign up and speak to a staff member about reserving your copy.
