A man who shot an individual who told him to pull up his pants in a convenience store has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Waymon Jamontez Brazile was convicted in Escambia County in December on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm.

The incident happened in September of 2015. The victim told Brazile to pull up his pants and the two argued. When the victim left, Brazile followed him with a gun. The two struggled, which is when Brazile shot him in the leg and fled, according to a press release from the First Judicial Court State Attorney's Office.

The incident happened in Pensacola.
