Jim Fletcher, Publisher/Sales Director
Originally from Kentucky, Jim Fletcher joined Freedom after years in radio and television.
Jim graduated from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green where he majored in Broadcasting, journalism and English Literature.
He was interested in newspapers at an early age (serving as the editor of his high school paper). After more than 10 years in radio and TV, he returned to his original love, newspapers.
Jim joined the staff of the Press Gazette – originally as a reporter – in 1985. He was soon named assistant editor, then editor and, in 1998, associate publisher.
The paper became part of the Freedom family in 2007 and Fletcher was then formally named publisher.
Jim is a strong believer in community and a community newspaper’s role within the community.
