Milton man struck by vehicle Saturday

A Milton man was hit by a car Saturday evening in Okaloosa County.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol press release, Robert Riggins, 58 of Milton, entered the westbound lanes of Racetrack Road while walking north when he entered the right lane directly into the path of a vehicle driven by Willie Mae King, 55 of Fort Walton Beach.
Riggins was struck by the front of King’s car and landed on Racetrack Road in Fort Walton Beach.
He was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola with critical injuries.
The FHP indicated that Riggins was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
