Yes, I am Maria. I think Milton should have community pool so these kids have a place to go and cool themselves instead of cooking themselves in the skate park.

Wednesday, 10:13 p.m.

Hi, I just want to say it is a wonderful idea about the skate park at the community center. A lot of parents feel they have a baby sitter since there is a security guard on duty. It is the parents’ responsibility to look after their children so we don’t have so many issues and complaints. The kids are there from morning until night and it doesn’t cost them anything for day care.

Wednesday, 3:43 p.m.

This is Eddie. I just read your Speak Out on July 16 about the fire department. I just went to the firehouse and there was four people there at 4:30 p.m. Three guys and a girl were on call at 4:30, not at 2:30 like the person said and somebody was working. And the guy I talked to said the class was mandated by the state, but he did not want to talk about the Chipola issue. I think our money is going to good use and I am glad they are there.

Yes it is in reference to the Speak Out about the Pace Fire and Rescue District. The person needs to get their facts and items straight before they speak out.

Wednesday, 1:47 p.m.

Good morning from Paul. I just returned from a trip to Orlando. I took Highway 19 out of Tallahassee to 27 to Alternate 27 to Ocala. What a pleasure to see the roadside clear of business signs. All political signs were in specifically allowed areas. Few billboards and no trash, what a beautiful sight to see. We in Santa Rosa County need to stop, wake up, and take more pride in our community. Code enforcement needs to get tough and enforce the codes and if they don’t people will think we do not care.

Also, you folks who take the time to put our your yard sale signs, take the same time to pick them back up. We as citizens need to take pride and clean up our community.

Wednesday 9:47 a.m.

This is Thomas from Pace. I want to talk about the roadways and grass height. If you have to pull off the road and get out you might end up falling into a hole that would eat your car up because the grass is so high. The grass is so high on Bell Lane in Pea Ridge we need to do something. You can’t see down the sides of the road. I know fuel costs are high, but something needs to be done.

This is Jessie from Pace. If you remember back before we invaded Iraq after 9-11. I don’t know how true it is, but Sadam Hussein was paying family members for those who were suicide bombers for blowing themselves up. Sadam is long gone. So we need to forget about Iraq and go to Afghanistan and get Osama Bin Laden and then get our troops back home.
