Grand Jury returns indictments on Warrick homicide suspects
State Attorney Bill Eddins announced Monday that the Grand Jury of Santa Rosa County returned indictments of five defendants in the shooting death and robbery of William Russell Warrick.
Jarryd Butler, Dominique Hill, Regis Madison, Kathleen Hill and Justin McQueen were each charged by Grand Jury Indictment with first degree premeditated or felony murder with a weapon, and armed robbery.
The charges stem from an incident, which took the life of 18-year-old Warrick on January 19 in a trailer park off of Jernigan Road in Pace.
According to a redacted police report released by Sgt. Scott Haines of the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office following the incident, Warrick was in the kitchen of the trailer on Alderwood Dr., when a black male came to the trailer and entered.
According to the report, the black male approached Warrick in the kitchen and pulled out a gun. When he did not comply with the unidentified black male’s statement, Warrick was shot and collapsed on the kitchen floor.
U.S. Marshals apprehended the last suspect, Regis Madison on January 23 in Louisiana.
All five defendants are set for arraignment in Santa Rosa County Circuit Court on Wednesday.
