Goodwin, W. J. “Wimpy”
Mr. W. J. “Wimpy” Goodwin, age 75, of Atlanta, GA died Monday, March 15, 2010.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 18th in the Chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta, Georgia with Rev. Larry Naylor officiating. Burial will be in Cheatham Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Goodwin worked as a Financial Manager with several banks for 30 years. He worked for Mitchell Manuals in sales for 14 years. A native of Milton, FL, Mr. Goodwin, a Marine, a veteran of the Korean War, loved family, friends and racing. He made a difference in the lives of many, serving God via church and sport youth groups. Mr. Goodwin was a charter member of Burnt Hickory Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Esther Johnson Goodwin of Atlanta, GA; sons & daughters-in-law, Leroy & Sherrie Goodwin of Dallas, GA, Gene & Kim Goodwin of Arlington, TX; daughter & son-in-law, Pam & Gary Piligian of Atlanta, GA; sister, Dee Guggino of Tampa, FL; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
