Hello this is Ruth. I want to praise the investigators who were involved in the wonderful job done picking up those people on dog fighting charges. I am so proud of them. Keep up the good work.

Hogwash, hogwash. Did you know when the Democrats won control of Congress in 2006 nothing changed? Our fiscal irresponsibility continues to haunt the nation. Our budget committee needs and overhaul. Thank you. Mel.

Hello, what the heck are the fire protection municipal services benefit unit (MSBU). You are charging Santa Rosa residential $85 to $175 on 3,500 square feet, multi-family units less than five units and condos $75 each, hotel and motel per unit $75, commercial property in Navarre $900 per 10,000 square feet, and residential in Navarre $400. There is a public hearing Aug. 25 at the Administrative Building on Highway 90 behind McDonalds. We need to help each other. This is highway robbery.

Hello, my name is Jewel. I am calling about the turtle in Jay known as Goliath. These people can’t afford to keep it, but they can afford to have it stuffed. I certainly home they are not related to me. My maiden name was Phillips. They need to do the right thing and put the turtle back into the river where they found him.

Yeah, this is John. I would like to make a comment about the fire taxes. I am a person on Social Security trying to survive. They are going up to $100 for fire protection on residents and decreasing the fee for businesses by three cents per square foot. I don’t think that is right.

Yeah this is Ron. Last week in my letter I forgot to thank the county commission for raising my fire tax 150-percent. Also I would like to know if the city of Milton issued a citation to the driver who destroyed the power pole. I would also like to know how much money they have collected on this.
Editor’s Note: As of a week or so ago the first batch of bills have just been sent out by the agency handling the billing. According to Donna Adams there have been three who have paid so far and roughly $1,000 has been collected.

What a blessing. Santa Rosa County and here in Milton there is public transportation. Thank god for people like Milton.

Yes this is Michael from Milton. I would like to ask who is in charge for keeping the city of Milton clean? Who mows the grass, weed eats, and such? When you go down Stewart Street there is grass growing between the cracks in the sidewalk. No one is trying to take care of this or spraying to kill the grass. The city officials need to do something for the city since it is looking as bad as it does.

This is to Thomas and Bill. I am not an idiot for asking people to volunteer to work and help. We need it. We need to save the money for what is coming ahead. If anyone is an idiot, you are.

This is Brenda. I would like to thank the investigators involved in making our community safer on Limit Street and DaLisa Road. Now it is up to the justice system to keep them out of our community.
