Sweet Christmas Sounds at IBC

The sweetest stuff at Christmas doesn’t come stuffed in a child’s stocking or wrapped in a cookie tin. Perhaps the sweetest, most precious sounds of Christmas are children’s voices raised in praise about a new born babe. On December 6, at 6 p.m., the Children’s Choirs of Immanuel Baptist Church will fill the air with sweet music. They will sing a variety of up-beat new Christmas songs as well as a few traditional carols. Intermingled will be familiar scripture recitations about the promised birth of the Savior. These children will definitely bring smiles of delight to all during their annual Christmas program.

In addition to the choir performance, several other children’s Christmas activities will be taking place in December. The Children’s Sunday School classes will honor Christ’s birth with a “Christmas Celebration” on the morning of December 6, at 8:30. During the party, the College and Career adults will dramatically present the true story of Christmas. The morning will wrap up with an ornament craft project. On December 13, at 5 p.m., AWANA clubs will celebrate with a “Happy Birthday Jesus” party. Wednesday, December 13, the children will sing Christmas carols to senior adults at an area assisted living facility. These activities are in addition to the regularly scheduled worship services. All children, ages 4 through the 5th grade, are invited.

Please come celebrate the miraculous birth of God’s son with the Immanuel Baptist Kids. We are excited to share with all who will attend. For more information about IBC, call 994-6152, or visit www.paceimmanuel.org. God bless you and Merry Christmas!
