The Gulf Power storm team has been released from storm duty in the Dallas area and is returning home.
The 78-person team is expected to reach the Baton Rouge, La., area tonight, where they will spend the night.
They are expected back in Northwest Florida sometime Wednesday afternoon.
The team worked three days restoring power to Oncor customers in the Dallas area following the ice storm, which dropped 3/8th of an inch of ice last week.
Working in temperatures/wind chills below freezing, the crews worked Saturday and Sunday in Rowlett, Texas, restoring power to an 8-feeder substation that serves 4,200 customers.
On Monday, they worked in the Mesquite, Texas, area, restoring power to about 2,400 customers.
The team worked safely in the icy conditions and are anxious to return to the warmer temperatures of Northwest Florida.
