The freshly remodeled Dove Garden Shop will hold a grand re-opening at 1020 East Fairfield Drive in Pensacola on Saturday, November 16 at 9 a.m. The shop will feature a variety of gifts, including ceramics from Arc Gateway’s adult enrichment program; succulent gardens from the Arc Gateway Plant Nursery; locally designed jewelry and handmade natural bath products; imported crafts from fair trade artisans; and repurposed/recycled products for the home and garden. Volunteers will staff the store, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday during the holidays.

“Our goal at Dove Garden Shop is to help offset critically underfunded programs at Arc Gateway through the sale of our unique gifts and garden items,” said Sondra Massraf, manager and buyer for the Dove Shops. “We offer a beautiful selection of merchandise for people looking for something different to give this year - and those who want to help make a difference in the community through their shopping dollars.”

Arc Gateway also manages the Dove Gift Shop for West Florida Hospital. Proceeds from both shops benefit Arc Gateway, a non-profit organization that provides programs and services for children and adults with, or at risk of, intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in the Escambia and Santa Rosa county area. For information about the Dove shops, contact 850-432-9161.

Additionally, the Arc Gateway Plant Nursery is selling florist-grade poinsettias and Frasier fir Christmas trees adjacent to the newly reopened gift shop. The nursery encompasses three acres of land behind the Dove Garden Shop and offers a wide selection of plants from ground cover, annuals and perennials, shrubs, herbs, ornamental grasses, palms and trees.
