Thursday --- 1:56 p.m.
Hello, I've enjoyed reading the Press Gazette for 50 years, I guess. Ever since I've been in Santa Rosa County. I like our local paper, and y'all are doing a fine job of it.
I really enjoy reading Lynne Hough's column. I can identify her talking about her children growing up, and now she's talking about her grandchildren.
Also, I'd like to make a special comment about the recent letter that Chrys Holley wrote. I've always enjoyed reading her letters. She just states it like it is, and I love her for it.
One more thing, I am still waiting, Mrs. Editor---You promised us several weeks ago, you would give us a list of all our local, state and government political people. You used do it and now we need to do it again. We need to write our congressmen and everyone else we can. Thank you very much.
Thursday --- 5 p.m.
This is for Chrys Holley. This is Mary calling. I do love you Chrys, but you have something wrong this time.
The president did not say "we are not a Christian nation," he said "we are not only a Christian nation." We have Jews, Catholics, Muslims and others, not all Christians. He has not alienated England, they just have a different view regarding Syria.
Let's give the president a break. Let's all sincerely pray for the president. Not about health care, not about politics, not about Syria. Let's just pray for him. He has a real hard job. Even so, come lord Jesus. Mary Ann.

The Santa Rosa School District got approximately $10 million from the governor. The money was sent by DOE and was part of the package that the governor had been pushing to give bonuses to instructional staff.
The SRPE proposed $1,800 for every employee. Teachers, educators, support personnel. The district would have to spend $1.2 million of that $10 million---new funds to give everyone $1,800. The SRPE proposal was countered by the district, giving everyone $1,400 from the $4,234 million and not spend any additional funds to give everyone $1,800.
The governor was willing to put his mouth out. Why can't Mr. Tim Wyrosdick put up $1.2 million to give a fair and equal raise to employees? Thank you very much.
Thursday --- 7:31 p.m.
I understand that DOE sent $10 million for all the teachers and ed. support to all get a raise of $1,800. Why is not our superintendent trying to help us out? Why is he trying to hold this money so it would go back to Florida DOE? Why can't we all be shared equally and share the $1,800?
We have been fighting for this. Yes, I am a paraprofessional and I have been working with Santa Rosa County schools for so many years, that it seems that Wal-mart would be a better position of jobs with more money, more pay and more benefits than our school district.
I really do think we ought to get rid of our superintendent because he is not doing his job in trying to support teachers and ed. support. of Santa Rosa County schools.
Thank you very much for listening to my message that I have. I think you will be getting plenty more from teachers and ed. support on this situation. And I hope you do print this out. Thank you.

Yeah, this is Bobby. I just had a brilliant idea. When they have the Flea Across Florida. You never see anybody using the old brick road that they spent so much money fixing.
Why couldn't you put all the flea market stuff for that weekend on that road. That'd be miles and miles of stuff and it'd be off the right-of-way. I think it'd look good. Thank you.
Saturday --- 12:18 p.m.
Good morning, this is Billy in Blackwater. On the second day of Sept., I saw a fawn being born at my fence. We have seven fawns that are within a week of a same age. Unfortunately, FWC does not see fit to postpone bow-hunting season until these babies are old enough to survive on their own.
Therefore, it's up to real sportsmen not to kill the mommas and leave the babies to die of dehydration, starvation, or being eaten by coyotes or deer-running fox dogs. Real sportsmen would not kill a doe deer when bow-hunting season begins.
The little ones cannot survive by themselves. Thank you very much for printing this article.

Yes, this is Raymond and I'm not afraid to use my name. My name is Raymond Johns, as a matter of fact. And I speak out about the truth. Ninety-eight percent of white America does not like it when you speak about bigotry and the idea of being haters toward people of color, because they speak out about it, which they used to not do. Ninety-eight percent of white America who are haters and bigots are professed Christians. What a shame.
I see there's bigotry and haters from Washington D.C. to the white sands of Pensacola Beach in northwest Florida, and all of Florida as far as that.
And I'm not ashamed to let them know that they need to change.
Saturday --- 3:48 p.m.
Yeah, this is Bobby. I see in the paper the police benevolent association got a big half-page ad supporting the raise for the deputies, and then they got another big section on the opinion page from the Florida Police Benevolent Association supporting the raise. Just so everybody knows, that's the union. That's not just a group of nice guys that likes the police. Thank you.
