Two people were seriously injured last week after a dump truck hit the back of a 1995 GMC pickup truck on Hwy. 87 north of NAS Whiting Field, according to FHP.
The Florida Highway Patrol says 68-year-old Ora Hartman and 40-year-old Tonya Cooper were making a turn into 7596 Hwy. 87 at a driveway when a 2001 Mac Rolloff driven by James Tolbert, 35, Pensacola, struck the back of the truck.
Hartman and Cooper, father and daughter, were bringing lunch to Cooper's husband, according to Diana Simpson, who lives at the address listed.
Cooper's husband was present at the crash, talking to his wife and holding her arm while she was being carried on the stretcher to the waiting ambulance.
Later, he is pictured talking with Trooper T.D. Hendrix at the scene.
