A 39-year-old bus driver from Gulf Breeze was cited after causing a two-vehicle wreck Monday morning on State Road 189 at Lewis St.



Jody Schofield was driving a 1991 International school bus when she was stopped on the inside lane of SR 189 due to a disabled vehicle in the road ahead of her, according to the Florida Highway Patrol press release.



Schofield, a Gulf Breeze resident, hit the side of a 2002 Isuzu Rodeo while she was tryting to change lanes from the blocked lane to the left turn lane in order to get around the disabled vehicle.



The accident caused $2,500 in damage to the Rodeo, driven by Aimee Wolters, Fort Walton Beach. An estimated $500 in damages was caused to the bus.



FHP says Schofield was cited with improper lane change.
