For the second time a just a few days, shots were fired at homes in the south end of Santa Rosa County. Last week, deputies responded to an address on Venetian Way in Gulf Breeze regarding a firearms complaint. The complainant told deputies he discovered bullet holes in his home.
Then, on Sunday, shots were fired into a home in Navarre, according to Santa Rosa Sheriff's officials. They say overnight on the 28th, shots fired calls were dispatched after residents reported hearing a gun fire multiple times. Patrol deputies patrolled the area and reported finding nothing.
Another call came into the Sheriff's dispatch office about a broken window found on a home on Brighton Oaks Blvd. The resident reported a brokenw windown pane and deputies discovered a hole in the screen. Upon investigation, the bullet was found inside the residence, just a few feet away from someone sleeping inside the house.
A vehicle was heard by callers around the time the shots were heard, reports say. Investigators are looking for anyone who lives in the area who might have a home video system that caught the vehicle on camera.
Sheriff's officials say they are looking for help from the public.
