Bands on the Blackwater - Free Outdoor Concerts on Friday Nights in May and June from 6 to 8 p.m. in Downtown Milton. Organizers say, "Enjoy live music alongside the Blackwater River in the comfort of your lawn chair or in the convenience of your boat." Food and beverages will available for purchase. Southern Soul Week 1 - May 3rd
The first band to appear Southern Soul - described as a "country-fried rock & roll band" located between Mobile Bay & the Florida Panhandle. Ranked among the Top 10 Rock bands for Pensacola region their diverse repertoire and musical style is described as “The Allman Brothers meets K.C. & the Sunshine Band”. Songs range from the The Doobie Brothers & CCR to funky Motown disco of The Commodores & all points in between (and beyond) to modern rock - while often paying tribute the legends that inspired them: Johnny Cash, The Who & The Rolling Stones.
Southern Soul performs at venues throughout the south from pubs & clubs to theatres & large concert festivals. Dr Breeze Week 2 - May 10th
Dr Breeze is Wilk McKean, a native of New Orleans living on the gulf coast, bringing to your event his own style of entertainment rich in the tradition of his jazz, blues and classic rock upbringing. This talented singer, songwriter, and guitarist specializes in “good time” entertainment, and his vast song list is sure to please every guest.
Dr. Breeze is available as a solo act with full band midi backup, or as a combo including female vocalist, bass guitar, keyboards and/or steel drums.
Not Quite Fab Week 3 - May 17th
Northwest Florida's only Beatles Tribute Band! Since 2001, the band has performed wearing Beatles wigs, A hard days night grey suits, Liverpool accents & the same model guitars & amps the Beatles used. The show is the full experience. It sounds like, looks like & feels like the Beatles. Band members include: Dickie Williams, Glen Vignolo, Jim DeStafney & Jeff Fitzpatrick.
CrossTown Band Week 4 - May 24th
CrossTown Band, a classic rock, variety & blues band is comprised of six musicians all from the Pensacola area. Members include: Nikki Forgione, lead vocal/guitar; Allen Horner, drums; Deeann Lee, vocal; Gary Lowe, guitar; Bob Arnold, guitar; and Kevin Smudde, keyboard. 13th Hourglass Week 6 - June 7th
13th Hourglass was one of Pensacola's most popular rock bands in the 60s. The group recorded in Memphis & had popular records like “Indecision” and “Keep on Running.” They play Southern Rock, a little R&B, Blues and 70s/80s Rock. Two original members still in the group are Tom Turner on Lead Vocal/Rhythm Guitar and Robert Lewis on Bass/Vocal. Other members include: Ashley Turner, Brett Turner & Bob Matteson.
Modern Eldorados Week 7 - June 14th
Founded by Tyron "Gretsch" Lyles in 1996, The Modern Eldorados uncompromising sound and take no prisoners stage presence doesn't follow trends, but on the contrary stays true to the roots of Americana while infusing it with individual swagger. Blending rockabilly with traditional country music, the band pays tribute to the essence of Ray Price, Webb Pierce, Hank Williams and Carl Perkins with authentic American honky tonk. Reunion Band Week 8 - June 21st
The Reunion Band's set list predominantly features rock oldies and R&B hits from the 60s. The group was formed in 1989. Members include Billy Harrell, vocals; Charlyne Kilpatrick, vocals; David White, bass guitar; Larry Northup, drums; Ed Nickinson, rhythm guitar/vocals; Ross Orenstein, keyboard/vocals & Terry Blackwell, lead guitar.
The Springs Week 9 - June 28th
The Springs won the New Music Awards "Country New Group of the Year” & was one of last year's nominees, along with Sugarland, Steel Magnolia & Lady Antebellum, for "Country Group of the Year".
